Welcome to hscodedb.com. These Terms of Service ("Terms", "Agreement") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "Visitor", "Importer", "Exporter", "Subscriber") and Tech Labs FZ LLC, a Free Zone limited liability company established under the laws of the United Arab Emirates ("Company", "Data Controller", "we", "us", or "our").

By accessing, browsing, querying, indexing, or utilizing any portion of hscodedb.com, including our multi-country 6-digit WCO Harmonized System database, USITC 10-digit HTS tariff schedules, UK Global Tariff (UKGT) lines, EU TARIC Combined Nomenclature records, landed cost calculators, duty alerts, or customs broker lead forms, you explicitly acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy and Customs Disclaimer. If you do not agree with all terms set forth herein, you must immediately cease accessing hscodedb.com.

1. Electronic Agreement Acceptance & User Authority

By accessing hscodedb.com, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and possess full legal capacity to enter into binding agreements. If you are accessing this website on behalf of a corporate entity, customs brokerage firm, freight forwarder, or trade association, you represent that you have legal authority to bind such entity to these Terms.

This Agreement constitutes an electronic contract under Federal Decree-Law No. 46 of 2021 on Electronic Transactions and Trust Services of the United Arab Emirates. Your continued use of our services serves as conclusive evidence of your intent to enter into this contract.

2. Definitions & Nomenclature

Throughout these Terms, specific trade and platform terminology shall have the following meanings:

  • "Database" / "Platform": The compiled, sharded JSON data registry, edge search logic, landing page templates, and web interfaces accessible at hscodedb.com.
  • "HS Code" / "WCO Backbone": The 6-digit Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System administered internationally by the World Customs Organization (WCO).
  • "HTS / National Lines": The 8-digit and 10-digit national tariff extensions published by individual customs authorities, including the United States International Trade Commission (USITC HTS), HM Revenue & Customs (UKGT), and European Commission (EU TARIC).
  • "Landed Cost Calculator": The automated estimation engine assessing base ad valorem customs duties, Merchandise Processing Fees (MPF), Harbor Maintenance Fees (HMF), Section 301 China tariffs, and VAT.
  • "Operating Entity": Tech Labs FZ LLC, a UAE Free Zone company having its administrative origin in the United Arab Emirates.

3. Limited Permitted Use & Intellectual Property License

Subject to your full compliance with these Terms, Tech Labs FZ LLC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access, search, and view tariff classification data, landed cost estimations, and trade guides solely for your internal commercial research, educational, or shipment compliance planning purposes.

All content, original software code, edge function scripts, compilation structure, design tokens, HTML/CSS assets, database index schemas, and proprietary algorithms on hscodedb.com are the exclusive intellectual property of Tech Labs FZ LLC. Government tariff schedules, statutory text, and WCO nomenclature remain public domain in their raw statutory form, but our compilation, sharding, search pointer, and layout presentation are protected under international copyright laws, database rights, and UAE Intellectual Property Protection laws.

4. Prohibited System Use & Restrictions

You agree NOT to engage in any of the following restricted activities:

  • Use any automated spider, web scraper, data mining robot, or extraction script to bulk-harvest our database shards, pointer.json, or static assets without explicit written permission from Tech Labs FZ LLC.
  • Attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with Cloudflare Turnstile anti-bot checks, rate limiters, security firewalls, or routing headers.
  • Mirror, frame, resell, white-label, or redistribute our database compilations, API responses, or landed cost calculators as a paid commercial service without prior authorization.
  • Introduce malicious code, viruses, trojans, or server overload vectors aimed at degrading system uptime or edge Function execution.
  • Subvert our embeddable widget snippet by removing the visible host DOM dofollow attribution link.

5. Absolute Disclaimer of Customs, Legal, Trade & Classification Advice

THE INFORMATION PROVIDED ON HSCODEDB.COM IS PUBLISHED STRICTLY FOR INFORMATIONAL, REFERENCE, AND INITIAL RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. IT DOES NOT CONSTITUTE FORMAL CUSTOMS CLASSIFICATION ADVICE, LEGAL ADVICE, TAX COUNSEL, OR BINDING SHIPMENT ENTRY GUIDANCE.

8. Landed Cost Calculator & Duty Estimations

All calculations performed by our Landed Cost Calculator—including Merchandise Processing Fees (MPF 0.3464%), Harbor Maintenance Fees (HMF 0.125%), base ad valorem duties, and Section 301 tariffs—are simplified estimations designed for preliminary budget planning. Actual duties, fees, taxes, and port handling charges assessed by customs entry officers may vary based on valuation adjustments, exchange rate fluctuations, entry type, or origin verification audits.

9. Customs Broker Connection Service & Affiliate Disclaimer

Our platform offers optional lead forms allowing users to request quotes from licensed customs brokers. Tech Labs FZ LLC acts solely as an independent technology intermediary facilitating communication between users and accredited third-party logistics/brokerage providers. We do not provide customs entry services directly, do not warrant broker performance, and are not liable for services rendered by third-party broker partners.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TECH LABS FZ LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AFFILIATES, AND AGENTS EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR ARISING FROM A COURSE OF DEALING, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

11. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL TECH LABS FZ LLC, ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, OR REPRESENTATIVES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, SAVINGS, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, FREIGHT DEMURRAGE, CUSTOMS FINES, SEIZURES, OR STATUTORY PENALTIES) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF HSCODEDB.COM, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED UNITED STATES DOLLARS ($100.00 USD) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US (IF ANY) IN THE PRECEDING TWELVE MONTHS.

12. Indemnification Obligations

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Tech Labs FZ LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and legal representatives from and against any third-party claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) your reliance on database entries for formal customs filings; or (c) your violation of applicable trade laws or intellectual property rights.

13. Service Availability, Modifications & Termination

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature, page type, dataset, search algorithm, or calculator on hscodedb.com at any time without prior notice. We reserve the right to restrict access to users who violate these Terms or threaten platform integrity.

14. Governing Law & Exclusive UAE Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service and all legal disputes, claims, or controversies arising out of or in connection with hscodedb.com shall be governed exclusively by and construed in accordance with the substantive laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding shall be instituted exclusively in the competent courts of the United Arab Emirates.

15. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration

In the event of any dispute arising under these Terms, the parties shall first attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally by contacting hello@hscodedb.com. If the dispute is not resolved within 60 calendar days, it shall be submitted to final and binding arbitration under the rules of arbitration of the United Arab Emirates.

16. Severability & Complete Contract Integration

If any provision of these Terms is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, such provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining provisions of these Terms shall remain in full force and effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Tech Labs FZ LLC regarding hscodedb.com.
